“What do I do for Black Algae?”
There are various algaecides on the market and none of them are very good with black algae. You can try one but it must have ingredients that start with the word “Poly”
as all the others will give too much foam and cause a bad smell. At the same time you should hit the pool with plenty chlorine and brush the black algae spots until the heads open up.
If it’s small patches of algae you can rub the spots with a chlorine block.
Hope this helps.
